Restoring Heritage, Infusing
Modernity
The clients, a young professional couple, acquired a dilapidated
Victorian terrace in the heart of Kensington with a vision to transform
it into a light-filled, sustainable family home. The architectural
challenge was twofold: preserve the strict heritage façade
requirements of the conservation area while radically opening up the
interiors.
Key goals included maximizing natural light in the basement level,
integrating smart home automation invisibly, and achieving a LEED
Gold certification for energy efficiency—a rarity for a building of this
age.

Delivered On-Time & Under Budget
By utilizing our integrated design-build workflow, we identified
structural risks early, allowing us to pre-fabricate the steel frame
off-site. This reduced the on-site timeline by 3 weeks.
